Between us, we bring more than 35 years of experience designing and building homes across Canterbury.
We're currently mid-build, and the experience has been everything we hoped building could feel like. Hamish and Hayley don't feel like builders we've hired. They feel like they're on our team, with the same goal we have: to get this right.
What's stood out most is how proactive both of them are. Problems get identified and often resolved before they even reach us. When something comes up on site, we hear about it with a plan already attached. That approach has made building genuinely low-stress, which isn't something we ever expected to be saying.
Hayley has been exceptional on the design and supplier side too. Every recommendation she's made has been thoughtful and well-considered, and she never pushes a decision through without making sure we're genuinely happy with it. When something hasn't worked, she comes back with a better option. She's gone well above and beyond to make sure every detail feels right for us.
We've also spent part of the build working overseas, and the communication from Forté has been so consistent and clear that it simply hasn't added any pressure to the process. That says a lot.
